I’ve been super excited to share the full blog post of Alida & Dan’s wedding at The Ironbridge Gorge Museums in Shropshire
The moment I first spoke to Alida on the phone, I knew we were going to hit it off, and I knew Alida & Dan’s wedding was going to be absolutely awesome. Two incredible humans getting wed in a super cool location, what could be better right? The morning started at the hotel where the wonderful Rowan was 2nd shooting with me and capturing Dan and his brothers getting ready whilst I was with Alida. Once everyone had headed off to the ceremony venue, Alida’s brother arrived for some quiet calm before the celebrations commenced.
The Gorge Museums are an unusual and fun alternative to your average wedding venue and such a delight to capture inside and out! Alida & Dan’s ceremony was emotional and super smiley, with music & singing played out by dear friends and family.
It was sweltering hot and guests chatted outside with the stunning views of the Ironbridge Gorge brickwork as well as the suffragette silhouettes. Alida, Dan, Rowan and I managed to cool off down in the brickworks for their bride and groom portraits. I adored the texture of the walls for the perfect back drop and they were such good laugh!!
Before tucking into their delicious meal they conducted their Chandlo, Ponkwa, Saapatia ceremonies in front of all the guests inside. The speeches were incredible and everyone stepped up including Alida & Dan, Alida’s father, Dan’s brother and Alida’s chief bridesmaid and bridesman.
All rounded off with them dancing the night away to the Old Dirty Brasstards
I loved that they chose to have me create a fusion video of their day because the energy just shines through! Click to watch and turn it up!
We LOVE it!!! We have both been crying watching it, it really captures the day for us – we are chuffed
All that joy and laughter on everyones faces <3 love it xx
What a venue too – wow !
