Back in March I travelled through the snow with Jordanna Marston to 2nd shoot at The Ashes Staffordshire wedding of Kelly & Eddie! And snow it did! LOTS! Such a gorgeous venue, all blanketed in white it was the perfect backdrop for a wintery wedding.
It was great working with Jordanna, although we’d met up a few times as photographer friends it was the first time I had shot a wedding with her and loads of fun. Once we conquered a few road blocks and snow issues en route, we made it to The Moat House hotel in Stoke on Trent to capture Kelly getting ready. Then back out to travel to The Ashes in Staffordshire. Kelly’s wedding dress was absolutely stunning with hint of a steam punk theme the venue looked great with lots of personal touches along the way. I loved the paper scrolled flowers in vintage glass bottles, especially the blue bottles!
Kelly & Eddie were absolutely fab, braving the winter chill for some gorgeous snowy bride and groom portrait photographs. I think you’ll agree that The Ashes was the perfect venue for a magical winter wedding. Here are a selection of some of favourite images from the day.
