Katie & Ryan booked me for the wedding in Katie’s parents garden back in September. They also asked me to capture their legal ceremony the day before. This is a practice I have done before so not that unusual. I was expecting a quiet little registry office number and then the full party the next day, where they were having a friend conduct a humanist ceremony.

Well I was more than delighted when Katie emailed me the details of the venue for the “legal bit”. Haldon Belvedere (Lawrence Castle) is not only a local(ish) venue to me since my move down to the south west BUT it is the cutest little white castle atop a very high hill with breathtaking views across Devon. All the ticks!

Katie & Ryan are super laid back and their ceremony was full of laughter and smiles. I’m not going to lie there were some wobbly knee moments as I stood on the bench on the roof to take some photos of them both!
